"Martha can do the whole of Onegin as a one-woman show," joked Ralph.
"It's true," Martha agreed. "I know it terrifyingly well. I can recite the
whole script with every sigh." But filming in Russia, however, wasn't always
straightforward. "We had the strange paradox of having to take snow out
there," said Martha. "Russian snow turns to slush so we had to get a company
to supply us with millions of pieces of cutup blotting paper. The Russians
thought we were completely mad."
