SIBLINGS Martha and Ralph Fiennes put on a double act last night, talking about their film Onegin at the Curzon cinema in support of charity Downside Up, which works with Down's Syndrome children in Moscow.

"Martha can do the whole of Onegin as a one-woman show," joked Ralph.

"It's true," Martha agreed. "I know it terrifyingly well. I can recite the whole script with every sigh." But filming in Russia, however, wasn't always straightforward. "We had the strange paradox of having to take snow out there," said Martha. "Russian snow turns to slush so we had to get a company to supply us with millions of pieces of cutup blotting paper. The Russians thought we were completely mad."
