Born on the southern shore of Iceland, Tangerine was first located by several children playing around a sinkhole in southern Florida. The children told their parents about finding a dinosaur living near their home but of course no one took them seriously!
The story made its way to the Adopt a Dragon Foundation. They sent a team to check the story out. In the meantime, the dragon was named Tangerine by the local children because of her orange color.
Tangerine was contacted by the ADF team on 8-10-96 and, after some initial conversations, agreed that her current dwelling place was less than comfortable! She agreed to be placed on the Adopt a Dragon Foundation's placement listing.
Tangerine enjoys company. She wanted to be placed with a dragon friendly family ... and she most certainly has!! :-)
