Bryan Ferry My girlfriend Rene (of Urban Hat fame) has been a fan of Bryan Ferry since the earliest days of Roxy Music. She has introduced me to the talent beyond the usual hits that I was familiar with. He also puts on a great live show (at least for us older geezers) and we are looking forward to the Roxy Music reunion tour with considerable anticipation.
He has an official site which is kept reasonably up-to-date.

I thought that "Girls Just Want To Have Fun" was a breath of fresh air when it first came out and Cyndi Lauper continues to be an artist to be reckoned with.
Her site has all the latest that she is up to.

Joe Mavety

Joe wrote the song "Broken English"

when he was with Marianne Faithfull

and has a great version on the Sunburst CD.

I met him during the time he was recording it and was involved with the making of the video for the song "Beatle Politics" which leads off the album.

Joe lives in Vancouver currently so if you are in the area look for him playing around.

There have been many sites over the past few years that have posted mp3 files to allow others to share in recordings that are unavailable except to lucky collectors. The RIAA and others have made the practice more difficult by being rather indiscriminate in the way it approaches the problem. However some brave souls still continue the practice.

After more than three years Simon in Warwickshire UK still maintains a high quality of 80's-ish material.

There are many Bob Dylan fans sharing concert material.
The best at the moment are:
Gopherstick and McTell.

Roger McGuinn has played with Bob many times (notably on the Rolling Thunder Revue).
His site has renditions of many old folk songs which he makes available to everyone.

Elliott Murphy suffered the Dylan comparisons but he has survived (mainly in Europe). His site has concert material and rarities available on a changing basis.

Many artists use the Net to connect with the public. I'll try to include some who may be of interest.

They Might Be Giants offer free mp3s of an ever-changing nature.

Bo Lozoff  Bo Lozoff is trying to create a biodiesel plant as a grassroots project.
He is trying to sell 100,000 copies of his Whatever It Takes CD.
Check out the song samples and maybe even buy one.
