Letter from the author

Dear Friend,

I am writing to you to introduce my book, From Couch Potato to Baked Potato.   This has been my labour of love for the past six months.  Very simply; it is a book which shows people how to move towards a more healthy lifestyle while taking into account the realities of our busy lives.

The first draft of the book was easy to write.  It is a subject which has been of great interest to me for the last five years as I personally went through a transition from an inactive, unhealthy lifestyle to a much more balanced, active, healthy lifestyle.   This does not mean that I do not, on occasion, like to enjoy the good life.   (or shall we say bad life!)  It is my hope the book reflects this balanced approach.

When the first draft was complete, my main concern was factual accuracy in the content.   For this reason, I have worked with medical doctors, a dietitian, a sports medicine chiropractor and an exercise physiologist to ensure the book has the technical base to give solid information.

I believe From Couch Potato to Baked Potato is the primer for anyone interested in starting an exercise programme or diet.  For this reason, it is a great gift idea for any of your friends or family who may have tried a diet or exercise programme and failed.

Sincerely,

Jon Dald
